Today, however, it will be the Leafs who are dressing the big boys for their 2nd pre-season game against the Sens in as many days. The Leafs will have the trio of Tyler Bertuzzi, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner making their debut as a trio, along with Jake McCabe and John Klingberg making their debut as a new D pairing. Joseph Woll is expected to get the start with new Leaf Martin Jones playing backup and likely getting into the game for 20-30 minutes.
Not only are we going to see the debuts of Bertuzzi and Klingberg, but we're also going to get to see Ryan Reaves in his Leafs jersey for the first time, Easton Cowan's first pre-season game and Nick Robertson's triumphant return from season-ending shoulder surgery earlier this year.
Have a look at the full roster below:
Obviously, the pre-season is entirely meaningless, other than allowing the coaching staff to get a look at some of the organization's fringe players in action. Still, with how Sens fans boasted and bragged about beating the Leafs on Sunday afternoon, it would be nice for the Leafs to blow the Sens out today to humble their fanbase.
