Leafs fans irate after Avs run a pick against Detroit and score a goal; the same play was called a penalty against the Leafs in a Game 7

With the Avalanche up 2-0 on the Red Wings early in the second period of Monday's game against Detroit, Nathan MacKinnon circled out from the corner in the Wings' zone before leaving the puck for Cale Makar to pick up and break towards the net. Makar would get a shot off and score on the play, for his second goal of the afternoon.

The issue with the goal? MacKinnon ran an offensive pick which should've been called interference. After he dropped the puck to Makar, he collided with a Wings forward that was attempting to cover Makar as he slid down the boards to pick up the puck. This is the fourth or fifth incident that I can recall of a clear interference penalty not being called this season on an offensive pick that has led to a goal. Quite the change from Game 7 against Tampa when Justin Holl was called for the exact same play negating a John Tavares goal, which ultimately cost the Leafs the series.

I guess these interference calls only happen in Game 7 against the Leafs? Maybe the Buds should run one of these plays in an upcoming game to see if officials only call them against the Leafs because it clearly seems that way.
