Michael Bunting is the Leafs' number one agitator and leader in drawn penalties. However, tonight there were two blatant penalties that were not called on the Bruins. Both happened while Bunting was attempting to gather the loose puck.

Late in the second Bunting was the victim of a cross check to the face by Brandon Carlo. The play happened while Bunting was looking for a rebound and right in front of the official. The cross check left him with a cut across the bridge of the nose. With no call, Bunting skated to the bench for a change and once he got to the bench he absolutely lost it. He snapped his stick, screamed at the referee and showed off the damage caused by the stick by wiping the blood from his face with his hand and waving his bloody palm at the official.

Early in the third, Bunting was in a foot race for a loose puck with Brad Marchand when Marchand low bridged him and interfered with Bunting before knocking him off stride. Marchand corralled the puck while Bunting slid deep into the Bruins zone and began pointing and laughing at the official because there was once again no call.

It would seem that officials have it out for the Leafs and are purposely turning a blind eye to blatant infractions. At this point though, it shouldn't be anything new to the Leafs after what happened against Tampa last year and what's been happening all season long so far.
