The Leafs didn't get the desired result from last night's game, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of their Round 2 series. However, it's important to note that they were blown out in Game 1 of their series against the Lightning as well and still managed to win the series in 6, so it's not over yet. It's only just begun.

The Leafs were the more dangerous-looking team all night, having a number of Grade A chances, but being robbed by Sergei Bobrovsky time and time again. They were also very physical, landing a number of huge hits both in open ice and along the wall, including two highlight reel hits on Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk.
Tkachuk is a big boy who can take it as well as he dishes it out. It's going to be important for the Leafs to continue to play physical and keep punishing the Panthers to avoid giving them any excess time and space - especially Tkachuk.
If they can do that, the Panthers are going to have a lot of long nights in this series and they'll certainly know once it's over that they've been in a fight.
