With every passing trade deadline or with every free agent window opening, it always seems that atop of the Toronto Maple Leafs' wish-list is a player with snarl, grit, and toughness. That's always the common denominator for most of the fanbase and the media members alike, however, this time around they might have those aforementioned qualities in their pipeline.

Nikita Grebyonkin was drafted in the 5th round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He stands in at 6'2 and a 195lbs, players either left or right wing, and although he isn't walking around with 100 PIMs, he can definitely throw it down with the best of them.

In his most recent game in the KHL for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, the 20-year-old dropped the gloves with Roman Rukavishnikov and laid down a hearty beating. Grebyonkin landed several hard punches square on the target before dropping his opponent to the ice. He took exception to a big hit that Rukavishnikov had laid on one of his teammates.

Grebyonkin currently currently has 8 goals and 15 points in 35 games for Metallurg after scoring 9 goals and 26 points last season with Amur Khabarovsk.
