On Tuesday night, the Toronto Marlies played against the Milwaukee Admirals and were able to pull out a 3-2 win. Unfortunately, the win came at a cost as Ryan Tverberg suffered what appeared to be a lower-body injury in the third period after being on the receiving end of a thunderous hit.

Midway through the third, with the game tied at 2, Tverberg dumped the puck into the Admirals' zone before getting crunched into the boards. Tverberg was in what many call the "danger zone" which is two to three feet away from the boards when he received the hit. He struggled to get to the bench and needed help to get to the Marlies' room once he made it there.

Following the game, Marlies Head Coach John Gruden was hopeful that he would not miss too much time, but it has now been revealed that Tverberg will be sidelined at least a month with the injury.

Tverberg was enjoying some early-season success in his first professional season as he had one goal and four points in five games to begin the year. A seventh round pick in the 2020 draft, Tverberg has continuously surprised the Leafs with his development since being drafted and registered 69 points in 85 games over three years at the University of Connecticut before joining the Marlies at the end of last season.
