Jones, 33, spent last season with the Seattle Kraken going 27-13-3 while posting a .887 save percentage and 2.95 GAA. Over his career, Jones carries a record of 225-163-35 with 28 shutouts and a career save percentage of .905.
With the signing of Jones, the Leafs get a veteran netminder who can mentor their young starters with the Marlies, but also be capable enough to play in a string of games for the Leafs if they were to need him to.
The real question now will be whether or not Jones will clear waivers if the Leafs don't plan to roll with 3 goalies on their 20-23 man roster.
