Throughout the Leafs/Lightning round one series, the Bolts have tried to assert themselves as the superior team, but so far through 5 games, it's the Leafs who hold the 3-2 series lead.

The Leafs and Lightning have traded wins since Game 1, and while the Leafs have been able to get the better of that exchange so far, Lightning head coach Jon Cooper has discredited the Leafs at what seems like every opportunity, stating that his team is essentially beating themselves, insinuating that the Leafs have yet to actually earn a win.

Prior to the start of Game 5, Bolts forward Pat Maroon was spotted blowing kisses at Leafs fans and smiling like a true antagonist. Maroon has been trying to get under the skin of the Leafs and their fans right from the first game of the series.

This is playoff hockey and I'd expect nothing less from the Bolts who are trying to get every edge they can without actually having home ice advantage. However, if the goal is to discredit and clown the Leafs to try to get into their heads and plant seeds of doubt, it does not appear to be working out very well for the Lightning.
