According to an anonymous text sent to Spittin' Chiclets host Paul "Biz Nasty" Bissonnette, Babcock has added a new bizarre antic to his coaching arsenal. Babcock reportedly called Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner into his office and requested that he hand over his phone so that Babcock could view his photos to see what type of a person he is. Obviously, this is an absolute invasion of privacy.
Look, I'm no NHL coach, but I'm quite sure there's a better way to get to know people than forcibly invading their privacy. In true Biz fashion, Bissonnette suggested that Babcock may have gotten more than he bargained for, and seen a little more of his captain than he meant to. Lewd imagery aside, it's an extremely uncomfortable way to start a relationship with your new, supposedly reformed head coach. Maybe Babcock should have stayed in Saskatchewan after all and far away from an NHL office or behind an NHL bench.
Bissonnette also issued a personal invite to Babcock to appear on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast so that he could either dispute the claims or explain his behaviour. Obviously, this is unlikely to occur, but nevertheless, the invite has been extended. You can see the clip here:
