The Toronto Maple Leafs found themselves on the wrong end of yet another heartbreaking 5-4 OT loss after blowing a 4-1 lead to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night in Denver. At least this time, it wasn't in the playoffs.

It has become somewhat commonplace for fans of rival teams to mock Leafs fans by saying "it was 4-1", "1967" or "your team lost to a zamboni driver" in an attempt to enjoy a laugh at Leafs fans' expense.

Well, apparently it's not just fans who enjoy dunking on the Leafs, as one of the members of the same Boston Bruins team that knocked the Leafs out of the first round of the playoffs back on May 13, 2013 took to social media to deliver a shot to the gut of Leafs Nation.

Milan Lucic took to Instagram on Saturday following the Leafs' collapse against the Avs, commenting on a post from the NHL reminding everyone that the Leafs had a 3-1 lead after the first period. A man of few words, Lucic just typed out 3 words and dropped the mic and walked out.

I mean, at this point, all we can really do is laugh.. right? The Leafs are still sitting comfortably near the top of the NHL standings with a 22-8-3 record and 47 points, within striking distance of 1st place Florida (51) with games in hand on the Panthers.

The Leafs are next in action on Tuesday, January 11th in Vegas against the 23-14-1 Golden Knights.
