Mitch Marner continued to make Leafs history tonight when he extended his record for the longest point streak in franchise history to 20 games against the Dallas Stars.

While Marner's streak is impressive in and of itself, what's also impressive is how he is only one of five players to reach a 20-game or more point streak in the last 25 NHL seasons.

As seen above, Marner is the first player to reach this milestone since the 2015-16 season. Now at 20 games, he's just ten games behind Mats Sundin's record of a 30-game point streak set in the 1992-1993 season with the Quebec Nordiques. Four years before Marner was even born.

Although ten games might be a stretch, I don't think Marner's point streak is over just yet. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he can go 6 more and tie Patrick Kane's 26-game point streak from the aforementioned 2015-16 season.
