Nathan Mackinnon Drops an All-Time quote about the Avs going back to back
After 21 years, the Avalanche finally reached the pinnacle of hockey and once again became Stanley Cup Champions. Filled with talent like Cale Makar, Nathan Mackinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Mikko Rantanen and others, the patience of Joe Sakic and ownership paid off.
It was the highest of highs, especially for Mackinnon after last year's disappointment where he dropped his infamous quote about not having "won shit" after being in the league for 9 years.
A year later and Mackinnon and the Avs hoisted Lord Stanley. After a few days of celebrations, Mackinnon was asked if the Avs could go back-to-back. He took the opportunity to give a hilarious quote saying, "I might get fat as f**k right now so I don't know about if we're going back-to-back"
Obviously he's kidding, but it was a long time coming and Mackinnon and the Avs and they deserve every drink and fast food option they desire over the next few weeks and months but don't be surprised if we see them do it all again next season.
