Not one, but TWO fights break out following a clean hit
Shortly after Jimmy Vesey scored to even the game at 1-1, Rangers defenseman Braden Schneider levelled Trent Frederic with a massive and clean open ice hit. Midway through the second, after Schneider's hit, not one, but two fights broke out. AJ Greer squared off with Braden Schneider while Barclay Goodrow squared off with Trent Frederic.
Schneider, Frederic and Goodrow each got 5 for fighting while Greer got 5 for fighting, 2 for instigating and a 10 minute misconduct.
It's unfortunate nowadays that every clean hit leads to a fight, which is absolutely stupid in my opinion. You don't like being hit, don't put yourself in that position.
Having said that, however, who doesn't like a good hockey fight every now and again?
