O'Reilly shares his thoughts about returning against the Bruins
After taking part in a pair of practices prior to today in a red, non-contact jersey, Ryan O'Reilly sported a regular jersey at today's practice. It signified that he would likely return to the Leafs' lineup on Thursday against Boston, something O'Reilly confirmed following practice.
Following practice, O'Reilly was asked about making his return against the Bruins instead of a lesser opponent like the Canadiens. "I think it's a good test and a good first game for myself, going in and going right into the fire."
O'Reilly has been out of the lineup since the beginning of March after having his finger broken by an Auston Matthews wrist-shot. In the 8 games prior with the Leafs, O'Reilly had 3 goals and 5 points. Based on line rushes at practice, he will be centering Noel Acciari and Alexander Kerfoot tomorrow night against Boston.
