The Leafs are back at practice on Wednesday, following a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets last night and if the scratches during line rushes are any indication, it could mean that the team is set to welcome back injured forward Ryan O'Reilly, who has missed the last month due to a broken finger.

As practice got underway on Wednesday, both Wayne Simmonds and Nick Abruzzese were skating in extras grey, indicating that they will not suit up in Boston against the Bruins. Meanwhile, O'Reilly was donning a top-6 white regular jersey, shedding the red non-contact sweater he's been wearing at full contact practices.

Simmonds has made it into 3 games over the last couple of weeks, playing March 26th in Nashville, March 29th at home to Florida and April 2nd at home against Detroit. He registered one assist over that span, against the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Abruzzese has played in the last 2 games for the Leafs against Columbus and Detroit, making the most of his opportunity and recording points in back-to-back games, with a pair of assists. Unfortunately for Abruzzese, with the playoffs being so close and with O'Reilly coming back, his brief stint in the NHL this season could be over, as he'll likely be headed back down to the AHL at some point in the not too distant future as the Leafs look to dial in and get their playoff roster set and ready.
