The curse and wrath of Wes McCauley is going to have to wait another day as a new set of officials are set to take the stage tonight as the puck drops for Game 3 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Francis Charron and Jake Brenk are the referees, while Brandon Gawryletz and Scott Cherrey will be the linesmen. Charron and Brenk took part in the Carolin Hurricanes and New York Islanders series and have a lot of experience between the two.

In 2020-21, in games reffed by Charron, the Lightning were 5-1, they were 0-1 in 2021-22, and 3-0-1 this season. He didn't referee any Leafs games in 2020-21, the Leafs were 0-2 in 2021-22, and 1-3-1 this season. As for Brenk, the Leafs were 3-1-1 this season and 1-2 last season. The Lightning were 0-2-0 this season, 2-1 last year, and 1-2 in 2020-21.
