Officials for tonight's possible series-clinching game announced and it could be excellent news for the Leafs
There is some good news ahead of Game 5 tonight when it comes to officiating as the Leafs have been able to avoid having Wes McCauley call a deciding game. Tonight's officials for what could be the final game of round one are Kyle Rehman and Jean Hebert.
Rehman and Hebert recently worked game 4 of the Winnipeg and Vegas series and are now scheduled for game 5, which bodes well for the Leafs. Over the last 3 seasons with Rehman and/or Hebert as an official for their games, the Leafs are 9-0-1, including 5-0-1 this season. The Lightning on the other hand are 10-10-1 when one or both have officiated their games over the last 3 seasons.
As long as they officiate the game the way Games 3 and 4 were officiated, mostly fair, there is no reason for them to get in the way of the Leafs finally winning a first round series. Hopefully we won't see Justin Holl called for interference in the offensive zone this time around.
