In the new NHL era of speed and skill, it's not often you get two real big guys going at it. Heavyweight bouts have gone from a nightly occurrence to a rare treat. On Friday Night we were treated to a heck of a heavyweight fight between Seattle's Jamie Oleksiak and Colorado's Kurtis MacDermid.

When I say heavyweight bout, I really mean it. Oleksiak, also known as "Big Rig", stands a massive 6'7 and weighs in at 257lbs. Macdermid is no shrimp himself at 6'5 233lbs. When those two decide to drop the gloves, it's best to just sit back and watch.

If I'm picking, I have to give the W in this one to MacDermid, he didn't start off great but landed some heavy blows towards the end. The problem with these heavyweight bouts is that they're usually fairly short. In this case, we got less than 30 seconds of action.

Say what you will about fighting in the NHL but there aren't many things that bring fans to their feet quite like two titans dropping the mitts for some good old fashioned fisticuffs!
