The Leafs' top-six forwards looked more familiar this morning with the return of Auston Matthews between William Nylander and Michael Bunting. With that being said, Pierre Engvall was shuffled back down to the third line, but is now skating alongside Zach Aston-Reese and David Kampf instead of Pontus Holmberg.

Holmberg, along with Bobby McMann appear to be healthy scratches for tonight's game against the Bruins. That means that Sheldon Keefe has opted for a little more toughness and has inserted Wayne Simmonds into the lineup on the fourth line skating alongside Alexander Kerfoot and Dryden Hunt. It's worth noting that Holmberg took a hard spill into the boards in Detroit, so it's unclear as to whether he might be a little banged up.

On the back end, Conor Timmins draws back into the lineup and appears to be getting a huge vote of confidence from the coaching staff, skating alongside Morgan Rielly. Jordie Benn is expected to come out of the lineup and skated as an extra. Timmins will look to continue his offensive outburst since joining the Leafs where he has 10 points in 13 games.
