Don't look now, but the Leafs are on a bit of a ''heater'', as Jack Hughes would say, having now won 5 in a row. Ironically enough, it all started with a razor-close 2-1 win over Hughes' Devils to kick off a 4-game road trip on November 23rd.

The Leafs' 5th consecutive win to close out the month of November brought the team's total record for the month to 11-1-3, good for 25 of a possible 30 points. Those 25 points are, according to The Toronto Sun's Terry Koshan, the most that the team has earned in any single calendar month in franchise history.

It's crazy to think that one month ago to the day, we were all watering the seeds of doubt that had been planted after a 4-4-2 record to start the season, during which the Leafs did not look particularly dominant. Funny how much things can change in a month.

The Leafs' current 5-game winning streak is the 2nd-longest active streak in the NHL, just behind the Seattle Kraken, who have now won 6-straight.
