Wednesday night was an unforgettable one for Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Not only did the team extend their active win streak to 5 games and finish the month of November with a sensational 11-1-3 record, collecting 25 of a possible 30 points, but Marner tied a legendary record, extending his point streak to an astonishing 18 games, tying Leafs icon Darryl Sittler and the great Ed Olczyk for the longest streak in franchise history.

Following the game, there was plenty to celebrate, with Samsonov's triumphant return, as he moves to 7-2-0 on the season, Matthews' 3rd consecutive game with a 5-on-5 goal as he begins to heat up, but it all paled in comparison to Marner's achievement. After taking a lap in front of the hometown faithful, Marner ventured back into the Leafs' locker room, where he was absolutely mobbed by his teammates.

You can tell that this streak meant a lot to everyone in the room and while the record may now have Marner's name on it, he'd be the first to tell you that a streak like that doesn't happen without help. Everyone in that locker room was in on it and while it was a bit of a dramatic way to get there, first missing an empty-netter and then finally getting one to drop, this team wanted to make that special moment just a little more special for Mitch. You love to see it.
