During the second period of the Leafs 3-1 win against the San Jose Sharks, Calle Jarnkrok left the game. It was announced before the third that he would not be returning. Obviously, with all of the injury issues that this team has faced this season, it was a bit concerning, but it was not known at the time whether the issue was a minor one or a major one.

Following the game, there was another update on Jarnkrok, which wasn't the best news. Per Keefe, Jarnkrok is going to miss some time. Not ideal, but the Leafs are pretty deep, thankfully.

The Swedish forward signed a four-year deal with the team this past off-season. In 24 games played, he's gathered five goals and four assists.

Despite this being an unfortunate injury that will likely have the Leafs down a forward for some time, it could be a good opportunity for Nick Robertson to have a larger opportunity in the lineup.
