Following Panthers forward Nick Cousins' overtime winner to eliminate Toronto in five games back in May, an iconic photo was taken of former Panther Radko Gudas screaming in rookie netminder Joseph Woll's face. At the time, there was a lot of debate about Gudas' actions and whether it was appropriate or not. Depending which team you cheered for, you thought it was hilarious or uncalled for. For Leaf fans, not only did they think it was unnecessary, but it should have never happened as the officials missed a very clear interference call on Gudas that directly let to the goal.

For those that don't recall, as Cousins was cutting to the net to take the shot, Gudas had driven past Calle Jarnkrok and while doing so, grabbed his stick so that he could not make a play on Cousins. The hold of Jankrok's stick allowed the Panthers' forward to get a clean shot off that beat Woll.

Ahead of their first meeting since Game 5, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice was asked about the now infamous photo and defended Gudas' actions.

"We thought it was kinda funny. He's just such an emotional guy. It was his barbaric yelp. People from Toronto didn't appreciate it the same way we did."

Unfortunately for the Leafs and Leaf fans, there will be no retribution tonight as Gudas is now a member of the Ducks. There will also be no retribution on Sam Bennett for injuring Matthew Knies in Game 2 of the series as Bennett is out with injury tonight.
