A fan who goes by "Haymakers" on TikTok recently captured a video during a hockey game where a bench-clearing scrum had taken place, presumably near the end of a game or the end of a period. During the scrum, the player in white, wearing #73, executes a Judo throw on his opponent, dropping him on his head and knocking him unconscious.
Hockey can be dangerous enough on its own without integrating a martial art into the game. A Judo throw anywhere can do some serious damage, but when executed on the ice, it's certainly dangerous. Consider, for one second, if someone had been in the immediate vicinity of the player being thrown, and took a skate blade to the face or throat.
I'd imagine that #73 is going to be facing a pretty substantial suspension over this incident.
