Popular Analyst caught saying something he shouldn't have with an embarrassing slip of the tongue when talking about the Leafs
Ladies and gentlemen, the playoffs have officially begun and while the Leafs weren't in action on opening night of the playoffs, they are slated to face off against Tampa for Game 1 tonight at Scotiabank Arena.
Naturally, the city is abuzz and for good reason. The Leafs have put together a very, very good team this season, deep at every position and they're even favoured to beat Tampa in Round 1. Adding to the chatter today was TSN's Mike Johnson, who joined the TSN 1050 OverDrive crew this morning to talk Leafs.
Unfortunately for Johnson, his appearance on OverDrive contained a clip that will haunt him for some time. While talking about Matthews and Marner playing on the top line together for the Leafs, a simply slip of the tongue created a very embarrassing moment for the TSN Analyst, followed by a bit of a pause, as he likely realized what he had said.
"They like playing here, they like playing with each other, they care about each other, they want to have sex - they want to have success together.." - Johnson's unfortunate slip of the tongue on air this morning
Obviously, for people who essentially talk on air for a living, things like this just happen. It's completely accidental, and 25 years ago, nobody would probably have batten an eyelash. However, in the age of the internet...
