It's easy to get caught up in the frustration of the one-sided officiating in Game 6 that ultimately led to the Leafs dropping a 4-3 OT decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning, but for John Tavares, he's already thinking about Game 7 in Toronto on Saturday.

While the Leafs had a golden opportunity to close out the series in 6 on the road, Tavares is fully embracing the opportunity to use home ice to the Leafs' advantage to secure the victory in Game 7 in front of a capacity crowd in Toronto this weekend.

"We worked hard all year to earn home ice and we have a great opportunity going home in front of our fans."

The Leafs' captain enjoyed a big Game 6 performance, scoring both the game-tying goal and the go-ahead goal at the end of the second period. Unfortunately for the Buds, a phantom call in the third period led to the Leafs taking another penalty while already shorthanded, allowing the Bolts a 5-on-3 opportunity that they would capitalize on, with Nikita Kucherov scoring the game-tying goal which would ultimately force overtime.

Tavares will look to carry over his dominant Game 6 performance into Game 7 on Saturday night. Hopefully the Leafs get an officiating crew that will call a more balanced game in Toronto.
