There is a lot of talk about hockey culture lately, especially with all of the recent Hockey Canada discourse. Well, the latest report from Rick Dahliwal is not going to do much to dissuade that talk.

According to Dahliwal, the Edmonton Oilers are among 3 or 4 NHL teams who are willing to give former NHLer Jake Virtanen a shot at re-establishing his NHL career after beating sexual assault allegations and charges, stemming from a September 2017 incident involving a young woman at a hotel.

While Virtanen was found "not guilty" back in late July of this year, the details of the alleged victim's story were very disturbing. Click here to learn more.

There were reportedly also additional complainants who reported similar actions and behaviour displayed by Virtanen in the past, but none that could be proven. Still, a pattern is a pattern.

Dahliwal did not reveal the names of any of the other teams with reported interest in Virtanen, a former 6th overall draft pick, but the fact that there is any interest at all is disturbing - especially with the pattern of behaviour he has exhibited. Disturbing to say the least.
