Ryan O'Reilly's first two goals as a Leaf, 30 seconds apart, with the electric play call by Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph
They don't call Joe Bowen "The Voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs" for no reason. He has some of the most legendary play calls of all time for the Buds. Unfortunately, he is no longer calling plays with the broadcast. Now, he is responsible for the radio play calls.
During last night's game against the Sabres, the newly-acquired Ryan O'Reilly scored 2 goals back-to-back in 30 seconds to give the Leafs a 2-0 lead early in the first period. While the moment was pretty electric on its own, it's even sweeter with the Joe Bowen/Jim Ralph play call dubbed over the TSN video feed. Thanks to @LeafsJelly on Twitter, we're able to witness the magic.
O'Reilly went on to score an empty-net goal late in the third period to seal the deal on a 6-3 win and complete his hat-trick. Despite the game being in Buffalo, approximately 80% of the building were Leaf fans, and as you'd expect, the hats came raining down onto the ice.
