Last season, Ryan Reaves played just 12 games as a member of the New York Rangers before being traded to the Minnesota Wild, where he would go on to play 61 games, endearing himself to his teammates with his unique personality and willingness to lay his body on the line for his team.

Reaves revealed earlier this year that he formed a lot of lasting friendships last year in Minnesota, but also issued a warning to the Wild before their October 14th meeting that there would be no friends, making good on his promise by dropping the gloves with Marcus Foligno after laying the boom on Frederick Gaudreau.

Well, another interaction with a former teammate went a lot differently, as Reaves walked past Kirill Kaprizov taking part in a live interview with the media at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden ahead of this weekend's Global Series, which kicks off today with the series opener between Detroit and Ottawa.

Reaves noticed Kaprizov in the midst of an interview, but rather than just keeping his head down and walking by, Reavo stopped to acknowledge Kaprizov and actually asked him to paused the interview for a hug.

It's stuff like this that makes Reavo's teammates, past and present, adore him. By all accounts, he's a good guy to have in the room, even if his overall play is not always the best on the ice.

For all of the negative aspects of the game, these pure moments are nice when they're caught on camera, because this is a side of guys that we don't often see.
