After 3 games to begin the season, the Maple Leafs own a 2-1-0 record and are about to embark upon a 5-game road trip, not returning to Toronto until just before Halloween, with their next home game taking place on October 31st.

The Buds suffered their first loss of the season on Monday, losing to an inferior Chicago Blackhawks team. This had upset a number of players in the locker room, including captain John Tavares, who told the media on Monday night after the loss that dropping two points to the Hawks was unacceptable because "every point matters".

During the game, we saw Ryan Reaves mucking it up with Corey Perry quite a few times, including this altercation from bench to bench in the first period:

On Wednesday, Reaves was asked about the verbal altercation and what his opinion of Corey Perry is. Needless to say, as is often the case, Reaves spoke his mind and revealed that he's none too fond of Perry, who has been one of the league's top agitator's during his lengthy career.

"I never really liked him, to be honest. We always seem to run into each other and we play against each other, but not a lot of love for that guy Just the way he runs his mouth, I don't know. He kind of acts tough. He's not tough."

Message sent from Reaves. He offered to give Perry a chance to back up his words a few times on Monday and many times throughout their careers, but naturally, Perry has no interest in dropping the gloves with Reavo, because he, like everyone else, knows exactly what would happen.
