Ahead of their tilt against the St.Louis Blues later tonight, Winnipeg Jets head coach, Rick Bowness, met with the media to take game day questions, as is tradition. However, he had to cut his morning media availability short due to a series of dizzy spells, which was a bit alarming.

Bowness, 67, who was hired this summer after stepping down as the head coach for the Dallas Stars, had yet to make his season debut behind the bench until their game on Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bowness missed the start of the season due to a bout with COVID-19 and admitted that he came back prematurely, while not feeling his best. He is and was symptom-free, however the lingering effects that some may feel kept him from feeling 100%.

As for tonight, his status remains TBD, as health and caution comes first. He insisted on doing the media availability this morning despite feelings of distress and dizziness.

Bowness surprisingly stepped down as the head coach of the Dallas Stars last season after their first-round defeat to the Calgary Flames. He led the Stars to the Stanley Cup Finals in his first year as coach of the team but fell to the mighty Tampa Bay Lightning in the Finals. He was hired by the Winnipeg Jets a month and a half after he tendered his resignation in Dallas.
