Sens forward tries to hit Luke Schenn, but gets the worst of the exchange
The Leafs were in Ottawa on Saturday night to take on the Senators in the always entertaining Battle of Ontario. For much of the night, the Sens led the way in the shots and hits categories, but at the time of this post, the Leafs hold a 3-0 lead midway through the third period.
In terms of the physical side of the game, both teams were focused on finishing their checks in this one, but unfortunately for Mark Kastelic, one of the players he attempted to throw his body towards was "The Human Eraser" himself, Luke Schenn. As you can imagine, that didn't work out too well for Kastelic.
Plays like this one are just one of the reasons why Schenn will he so important in the Leafs' upcoming playoff run. Even when he's the target of the hit, he seems to get the best of the exchange. Schenn was also credited with 4 hits so far during the game, with half of the third period left to play. What an animal!
