Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs blew yet another third period lead and lost to the streaking Edmonton Oilers, who are now 11-0-0 in their last 11 games. It was the Leafs' fourth loss in a row and third regulation loss in a row.

Following the game, questions arose about the Leafs' inability to hold a third period lead and how it has become a trend recently. When asked about this recent trend, Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe ripped the media and then brought up recent play from the Leafs to support his claims.

"What has it been? Eight days? The trend is eight days?

In the week before that, we won four in a row, got leads early, and took care of the game. We played mature games against Anaheim and San Jose. We played a great game against the LA Kings. That is like a week ago."

Following his sarcastic clap-back at the media, Keefe noted that he was concerned about the obvious.

"My concern with this little stretch of four games in seven or eight nights We would like to be on the right side of it, but we could only control what was in front of us tonight. The guys played a good hockey game."

The Leafs won't have much time to correct their third period issues as they will be in Calgary to take on GM Brad Treliving's former team on Friday.
