The Phil Kessel era in Toronto was nothing if not entertaining. From posting 25 or more goals in 5 of his 6 seasons with the Leafs (20 goals in 48 games in the 2012-13 lockout year), to his dust ups with the media, to being picked last overall at the All Star Game in 2011, to his lumberjack chop to the legs/feet of John Scott against Buffalo and everything in between, there was never a dull moment when Phil Kessel was around.

As much fun as it was for us as fans during that time, apparently the organization had its fair share of issues with Kessel during his run as a Leaf. During a recent episode of the Spittin' Chiclets Podcast, it was revealed that Kessel refused to weigh in for the Leafs, presumably for his bio, and he also once threatened to quit if he could not drink Coca Cola in the Leafs' dressing room.

Kessel may not be a legend in the traditional sense in Toronto, but the legend that is Phil Kessel as a Leaf is like its own living entity it seems. Here we are two Stanley Cup rings and 7 years later and we're still hearing hilarious new tidbits about Phil the Thrill!
