Stamkos does his best Auston Matthews impression, drags and snipes for his 100th point
Steven Stamkos may have come long before Auston Matthews, but that doesn't mean that the old dog can't learn some new tricks. He showed as much on Tuesday when he emulated the patented Matthews release to rip home his 100th point of the season, reaching the milestone for the first time in his very impressive career.
Stamkos is getting hot at the right time for the Bolts, which could spell disaster for the Leafs - the Lightning's most likely first round opponent. Just how hot has he been? Well, for starters, less than two weeks ago, Stamkos hit 80 points.
As TSN's Chris Johnston pointed out on Twitter on Tuesday evening, Stamkos only needed 7 games across a 13-day span to go from 80 points to 100. That's absolutely wild.
