Hockey is a contact sport, so sometimes things can occur that may be difficult or disturbing to watch. This is one of those very unfortunate situations. For that reason, this is a sensitive content warning.

During a Sunday game between the Soo Greyhounds and Ottawa 67's, Ottawa Senators prospect Tyler Boucher delivered a hard hit to Greyhounds defender Luc Brzustowski, who then began to convulse and suffered a seizure right there on the ice.

It became apparent very quickly that this was a medical emergency and the paramedics rushed to Brzustowski to tend to him immediately, securing him in a stretcher before taking him to hospital. Again - this video is very hard to watch, so please proceed at your own discretion.

Following the contest, the Soo Greyhounds shared a bit of an update on Brzustowski with fans, who obviously showed a tremendous amount of concern for the young defender.

Scary moment in Ottawa today with Soo Greyhounds defenceman Luc Brzustowski suffering a seizure on the ice after a hit. Soo coach John Dean told reporters after the game that Brzustowski was in good spirits at the hospital after the game.

Still has to undergo further testing, but initial tests ruled out some of the more serious concerns.

Credit to the first responders, medical staff and those working to ensure that Brzustowski was in good hands and was tended to as quickly as possible. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brzustowski, his family and the Soo Greyhounds organization.
