First, it was getting kicked out of Gila River Arena for unpaid bills and taxes at the end of last season, then it was announcing they would be playing in a college arena at Arizona State University for the next three seasons as they're hopeful to have their new arena in Tempe, AZ built. Now, the Coyotes unveiled their jersey sponsor and it's pretty much the most ironic thing ever.

The Coyotes' first ever jersey sponsor is none other than Gila River Resorts and Casinos. Talk about the irony and comedic aspect. The Yotes were ousted by the Gila River Arena by the City of Glendale, AZ and then they turn around and sell a jersey ad to the company who has the naming rights to the Arena they were kicked out of. The Coyotes just can't get out of their own way in being the laughing stock of the league, but at the same time, when you're struggling with performance on the ice and finance off the ice, you have to take what you can get for sponsorships.

Maybe one day the Coyotes will be a respectable team in both aspects, but for now they continue to be the laughing stock of the NHL.
