It looks like the Philadelphia Flyers may have found their new bench boss as Kevin Weeks was the first to break the news that John Tortorella has been offered a contract to become the new Head Coach of the Flyers.

As Weekes reported, negotiations are still ongoing between the two sides. Tortorella hasn't coached in the NHL since the 2020-21 season after he was let go by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He worked as an analyst for ESPN's NHL coverage this past season.

Tortorella is a two-time Jack Adams Award winner, taking home the award in 2004 and again in 2017. He also won a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004. Torts will bring not only structure, but will emphasize playing a hard-nosed style with the Flyers.

If Torts puts pen to paper this week, that will scratch both he and Bruce Cassidy off the list of available coaches. Who will be the next to settle in behind a new bench next season?
