With the New York Rangers ousting the Carolina Hurricanes in 7 games on the heels of a 6-2 win in Raleigh, NC, the Toronto Maple Leafs now know where their 2022 draft picks will fall.

The Rangers win pushed the Leafs to the 25th draft position, meaning that the Buds will draft 25th overall in the 1st round, 79th overall in the 3rd round (Winnipeg's pick) and 219th overall in the 7th round.

The one caveat here would come if the Minnesota Wild decide to re-sign Filip Johansson, their 1st round draft pick from 2018. If that were to occur, the Leafs' 3rd round and 7th round picks would move up a draft spot to 78th and 219th. The reason for this is because if the Wild elect not to re-sign Johansson, they will receive a compensatory pick in the 2nd round (which would fall in the 24th spot in the round, or 56th overall).
