Trent Frederic and Brendan Lemieux go to war
Monday night's tilt between the Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings was a one-sided affair, the Bruins walking away with a decisive 7-0 victory. While the result was a blowout, the game did produce a pretty good scrap between a couple of tough grinders.
During the first period, while down 2-0, LA Kings winger Brendan Lemieux wanted to rid his team of some of their frustration and tried to create a bit of a spark by dropping the gloves. Bruins forward Trent Frederic obliged him.
The two had a wild battle before the officials came in to break things up, likely due to the fact that both combatants appeared to be winding down, and Lemieux had lost his helmet in the fight. Nevertheless, a solid bout.
