Two former Leafs among those placed on waivers on Tuesday

With the regular season set to kick off next week, several teams are currently taking steps in finalizing their opening night rosters by placing their respective roster cuts on waivers. According to CapFriendly, today's waiver wire includes the Vancouver Canucks, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Chicago Blackhawks - and the list includes two former Maple Leafs.

The Canucks placed 5 players including: Collin Delia, Brady Keeper, Noah Juulsen, John Stevens, and Guillaume Brisebois

The Wild placed: Zane McIntyre

The Canadiens placed 3 players including: Mitchell Stephens, Anthony Richard, and Alex Belzile

The Devils placed 4 players including: Tyler Wotherspoon, Robbie Russo, Joseph Gambardella, and Jeremy Groleau

The Penguins placed: Taylor Fedun

The Bruins placed 3 players including: Nick Wolff, Oskar Steen, and Connor Carrick

The Blue Jackets placed: Brendan Gaunce

The Blackhawks placed 4 players including: Brett Seney, Dylan Sikura, Luke Philp, and Nicolas Beaudin

Amongst the list of players that were placed on waivers today, there weren't any big name players or any shocks and surprises, however there are two formers Maple Leafs in Connor Carrick and Brett Seney. Carrick spent 3 seasons with the Leafs suiting up for 130 games between 2015-16 and 2017-18, while Seney suited up for the Leafs only twice this past season.
