We all knew the question was coming whenever the Leafs were eliminated from the playoffs. It didn't take long after the team got off the ice from a controversial loss in overtime in Game 5 before a pair of Leafs were asked the question we all knew was coming.

Both Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly were asked about the potential changes coming to the team and the possibility of a member of the "Core 4" being moved.

"Yeah. We all have years left on our contracts," said Marner when asked if he wanted to "run it back" with the same core.

"I love these guys. I don't want any change," said Morgan Rielly.

Whether they like it or not, there will be a lot of change coming to the Leafs' roster with 12 pending UFAs and a handful of RFAs. Not to mention the possibility of a new coach and potentially even a new GM. Something has to change because whatever this is isn't working, and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yes, they made it out of the first round, but once again, the stars went quiet when the Leafs needed them the most.

It's going to be a very long few weeks until things get sorted with Kyle Dubas and only then will we have an idea of what kind of change to expect.
