Following a 12-year NHL career, which started as a member of the Edmonton Oilers and then make subsequent stops in Arizona, Minnesota, Nashville, Colorado and San Jose, 36-year-old Devan Dubnyk has officially announced his retirement.

Dubnyk was a 1st round draft pick by the Edmonton Oilers (14th overall back in 2004) and suited up in 171 games for the Oilers before being dealt to the Nashville Predators, playing just 2 games for the Preds in 2014. Dubnyk really hit his stride during his first year in Minnesota in 2014-15, posting a 27-9-2 record to go along with a 1.78 GAA and a .936 SV%. He also finished 4th in Hart Trophy voting and was named a Vezina Trophy Finalist, finishing 3rd in Vezina voting.

He ends his NHL career with 542 career regular season games played and an additional 26 games of playoff experience. He owns a career 2.61 GAA and .914 SV%, which are both very impressive for the number of games he played in his career. His 253 career wins ranks 61st on the all-time list as well.

Dubnyk is expected to begin a broadcasting career now that his playing career has come to an end. All the best to Duby in this next chapter of his life.
