The Leafs have points in 15-straight games and have not lost a game in regulation in over a month. For a team who struggled so much out of the gate, that has to feel good.

As good as this run feels for the team, it must irk veteran winger Wayne Simmonds at least a little bit to be sitting in the press box the vast majority of nights. Well, with the Leafs in New York to take on the Rangers on Thursday, it would appear as though Simmer is once again bound for the press box.

Simmonds skated as an extra once again on Wednesday, as did the injured Jordie Benn and rookie Mac Hollowell. Joey Anderson, who played his two best games as a Leaf on Saturday and Tuesday remains on the 4th line alongside Zach Aston-Reese and Pontus Holmberg. Conor Timmins, fresh off of his career night against the Ducks, where he recorded a 3-point night, will remain next to T.J. Brodie on the team's 3rd pair.

Once again, we won't know who gets the nod for Thurdsay's game until likely after the morning skate or shortly before game time. With Ilya Samsonov coming off of back-to-back shutouts, he'd be a good bet to get right back in there. However, we know that Matt Murray must be chomping at the bit to make up for his rough outing against the Flames on Saturday. My gut says they'll probably go with Murray, but we'll have to wait and see.
