Veteran winger Ryan Reaves is enjoying his first run of practices as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs. One of the things Reaves has loved has been the introduction of music to their on-ice sessions - something he hadn't experienced before in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, New York, Vegas or Minnesota. His one critique was that he'd have preferred some hip hop as opposed to electronic dance music. Looks like he got his wish on day 3 of camp.

On day 2 of camp, the Leafs held a scrimmage, which was exciting for some of the more skilled players, but Reaves had stated that he wasn't a fan of the experience because of what his game entails. Reaves thrives on playing a physical game and laying huge hits - something he stated to the media that doesn't want to do against his teammates at practice.

Who can blame Reaves for not wanting to take a run at a guy on his own team during training camp? Can't do this to your teammates, after all..

Reaves promised that the hitting would commence when the Leafs' pre-season opens on Sunday. I'm sure the Ottawa Senators aren't too excited to hear that. The Leafs and Sens take to the ice for their first game of the pre-season on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm ET in Ottawa.
