The goal put Matthews at 59 tallies on the season, just 1 goal away from that elusive 60-goal mark. He didn't have to wait long to snipe home number 60!
The capacity crowd at Scotiabank Arena celebrated in style, chanting "MVP" for Matthews, who is now officially the first 60-goal scorer since Steven Stamkos reached the mark a decade ago in the 2011-12 season.
