On March 18, 2008, Vesa Toskola immortalized himself in Leaf history as he gave up one of the worst goals in the history of the NHL. The Leafs were on the powerplay against the New York Islanders when the Islanders cleared the puck down the ice. It bounced and rolled its way to Toskala before hoping over his pad and into the net.

Last night, the Flyers AHL team scored a short-handed goal that was a combination of Toskala's mishap and Martin Brodeur's error in the 2003 Cup Final (which can be seen below).

With the powerplay set to expire, Max Willman got the puck and fired it down the to kill the last few seconds. In what was an innocent clear, the Bridgeport Islanders' goalie Ken Appleby came out to play the puck. Unfortunately, he had his stick directed towards the goal and the puck deflected off of it and into the net before he could react.
