Team Canada mounted a crazy comeback in their quarterfinal matchup with Sweden on Thursday at the 2022 IIHF World Championships. Canada will be moving on to the semi-finals, facing either Slovakia or Finland, who play at 1pm to decide Saturday's matchup.

Down 3-0 heading into the final frame, Canada came alive in the late stages of the game minutes after Ryan Graves got them on the board early in the third. Canada scored three goals in three minutes, which included Drake Batherson's OT winner, roaring back after going down early. Utilizing the perfect chance to eliminate the Swedes, they capitalized on a 4-on-3 powerplay in overtime.

William Nylander was the highlighted culprit in OT, taking an accidental tripping penalty during 3-on-3 play in extra time by clipping Batherson skate-on-skate. After arriving in Finland on Saturday to join Sweden, Nylander was having quite the tournament and scoring 3 goals for the Swedes. It's a shame that it had to end the way it did. Now that's two eliminations in the month of May that are surely both tough for the 26-year-old to swallow.
