Rock-em-sock-em hockey is alive and well in the Ontario junior circuits as we witnessed an epic fight between the London Knights' Sawyer Boulton and the Brantford Bulldogs' Florian Xhekaj this weekend.
It was an all-out war between Boulton, the son of former NHL tough guy Eric Boulton, and Xhekaj, the brother of current Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj.
As the first period was coming to a close and a face-off taking place with less than a second remaining, both Boulton and Xhekaj dropped the gloves with almost no hesitation just outside the Knights' zone.
Both youngsters threw everything they could at one another, including the kitchen sink, in a spirited bout that lasted almost 30 seconds and even when they were apprehended by the referees, the jawing continued.
