Auston Matthews gives us a glimpse of what he's been up to this summer
Maple Leafs franchise cornerstone Auston Matthews took to social media this week to give fans a glimpse of how he has been spending his time during the offseason.
Matthews is coming off of an incredible 2023-24 season, where he exploded for 69 goals and 107 points in 81 games. However, following yet another postseason loss to Boston, the players are doing their very best to try to forget about it, filling their summers with as many distractions as they can.
For Matthews, it has been a lengthy summer spent with family, friends and his dog, on the ice, the golf course and ring side at a UFC event with close friend and Utah HC forward Clayton Keller. He even made time to attend Michael Bunting's wedding.

Matthews has clearly had a jam-packed summer full of friends and family time, but has also remanded very diligent on his off-season routine as he gets ready for the 2024-25 season. Matthews made time to skate with prospects in Toronto while he was in town for Bunting's wedding, which is an incredible example of his focus for the season and for the Leafs prospects.
